Does anyone use a Remarkable (or similar) for note-taking?

In my ever-continuing quest to become more organised I'm considering one of the Remarkable2 "digital notepads". I currently work with a standard A4 notebook but often find I'm flicking back through pages and pages of notes trying to find something from weeks ago, or I have various follow up meetings on the same subject but all the notes are separated by pages of other ones (I know, first world problems!).... or quite often I end up grabbing a scrap of paper off my desk and making a couple of notes on it and then before I know it I'm surrounded by 20 pieces of paper.

I've tried note-taking on my iPad and laptop in the past but it's just not the same! I have a habit of doodling and sketching during meetings, I also tend to break up my notes page into different sections - one might be taking key points, then towards the bottom I'm adding actions for people as they arise, I might have a couple of little boxes or breakaway sections with ideas in that I think I need to consider or notes just for myself about the meeting etc. So it's quite a scatty mess with arrows and sections and all sorts, none of which is easy to replicate on a laptop screen!

The Remarkable seems like a great looking tool purely for taking and organising notes but at over £500 for the device, cover and pen....well it's a hell of an expense for a notepad!!!

Just wondering if anyone uses one or has used one, how easy are they to use, are they as realistic as pen and paper and ultimately do you think it's been worth it?

i have a remarkable, the best thing i ever bought, i was forever scribbling notes on any bits of paper i could find and inevitably losing those bits of paper, with the remarkable 2 you can make notes put then into specific folders, so you are not wasting time looking through pages and pages trying to find a certain note or idea, i have even cut down on printing as you can send pdf to the remarkable and fill them out or sign things then send it by email straight from the device. i run a property management company and i have everything about every property with me all time in a thin small pad. its great

it does also have a sort of friction felling when you wright, so does give the feeling of writing on paper and not a glass screen
