Does anyone have any experience of Raw Marketing?

barrysummers

if they are making you money then fine. worth getting someone to look at their adwords campaigns if they are making money with a basic set up maybe you can make so much more with a better run more in depth adwords program

I always stick by one simple rule and its saved me lots of money so far. If an online marketing company needs to cold call on the telephone to get business for themselves then they are not very good at their job.

How are they going to get business for you if they can't get it for themsevles?

I also never, ever buy from a cold caller and never will. I do not think I have ever heard of someone who brought from a cold caller and ended up happy with their purchase,

You are totally right and obviously very wise. Normally, we too follow the same principle. On this occasion, we had been postponing doing something about website optimisation for a while and felt guilty about it and then got caught on this occasion by repeated, persuasive calls. Normally, we would have gone with a recommendation from a client of associate.

Hi,

I am not sure if we are allowed to post email addresses on here. If anyone wishes to try and stop them as a group, my company name is Treeneuk Health and Beauty we are in Chesterfield, you should be able to find me on Google easily and contact me that way if you wish, evenings are the best time. I think it is important that this company gets stopped as this is not just normal cold calling it is calculated to defraud and I belive thier main aim of the call. I think any claim will be stronger if done by more than one person. Perhaps if there is enogh people we can get the Manchester police to take action. I would really love to stop these RAW Marketing if anyone wishes to help please make contact.

Stay away from Raw Marketing. This comes from personal experience.

We signed up to a one months adwords campaign back in November 09 which was to be a one month trail only and advised them just before this ended that we did not wish to continue the campaign.

They chose to ignore this and continued to charge us despite our cancellation notice. When trying to sort this out they did not respond to emails and avoided putting me through to the person whom dealt with 'customer services' whenever I called as noone else was interested in sorting it out. Not even the so called account manger! Even when I left a message for a callback , this did not happen. I asked for the MD of the company to call me but even this did not happen.

After lots of contact from my end, I finally managed to speak to this person whom promised a refund for all the additional months charges. This was over two weeks ago and I am still awaiting a refund! I have now chased them twice and have not had a response.

These guys are very nice to you when you first sign up but the follow up service and customer service is ridiculous. Beware before signing up to these guys and dont expect good customer service from them as if things go wrong you wont get any service!!!!!:mad::mad:

I have used raw marketing ltd for several of my businesses and have taken up services. Such as google ranking it has been a pleasure working with raw as they have delivered on time and there work ethics was amazing. I have also had some websites designed and i must say i was very happy with the end product

i wouldnt recommend this company at all.

They were designing me a website which i paid £500 plus vat for and i got a few emails and a few phone calls. Sent them a brief at the start and it was completely ignored and they designed the site the way they wanted. I got them to change it to a different design which i approved and it went back to the other one i didn't approve.

No emails for a week or phone calls so i am seeking legal advice now

Avoid RAW MARKETING like the plague they also call themselves Babe Lounge we signed up to them for a new website it took them 4 weeks to give us a website that could of been designed by a 10year old after giving them all the information they required we also gave them a new company name which they completely ignored and tried to link their ne website to our old one which was not the deal. So far we have paid £480 for a website we have not got they also continue to take money from my business account which they have no authorisation to do. At present we have been unable to get hold of them they avoid our calls.
I would strongly suggest no one uses them as they are nothing but scammers !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i know raw marketing i recently signed with them about a month ago and to be fair their services has been excellent so far. I've had a few enquires which is covering my cost with them and making me profit, so can't be a bad thing.

I went for their bronze package and i'm thinking of doing seo, plus their 6 page website look fairly good for £100

Anyways i know there are dodgy companies out there and i've been stung by them but hey these are proving ok for now, so fingers crossed

hi i have been with them for over 12 months no prob

Matchmaker can put your chosen phrases on the front page of Google or you can do this direct with Google using adwords. Typically Matchmaker suits a lower budget to produce an effective campaign.

Try to get round the inexperienced sales people and negotiate a better deal. I did.

I have a number 1 natural listing with Google. Try "Autocad training course" . My site is the same with .co.uk but my additonal matchmaker advertising does still increase my web site enquiries.

Tried to stop but the enquiries just dropped right down.

Also your sponsored listing ads can highlight offers to increase enquiries.

Seems like those posters that support matchmaker are usually first time posters here! Very Strange indeed come us guys you are fooling nobody!
From what I've read here and on others forums they shouldn't be touched with a barge pole!
Nothing I've read about them is positive (only posts from guys employed by them).
If they have nothing to hide let their MD come on here and explain why they have so many unhappy customers and continue to CON people!

The testimonial page on Raw Marketing's website has a testimonial from Babelounge, yet their recruitment page is offering a telesales job to work for Raw Marketing and Babelounge. It's a bit dodgy publishing a testimonial from a fake client if Raw Marketing and Babelounge are the same business? It looks even more dodgy that a comment has been posted in this thread from babelounge defending Raw Marketing as if they are an independent separate business ?? If you are going to scam, do it properly. Even as scammers they are amateurs who don't know how to cover their tracks!

If Raw Marketing are so good at producing results via Google, why do they need to advertise for a telesales job with a £15k basic? I would have thought they could spend £15k on Google Adwords and turn it into £100-£150k worth of sales. Their recruitment requirement for a telesales person confirms they need offline marketing to supplement their lack of online sales enquiries. This is not a good sign.

From more research it looks like Raw Marketing have branded themselves as Naughty Marketing offering services to the escort/massage parlour industry. On adult forums, it looks like they have a bad reputation there as well.... constant cold calling, spam email marketing, black hat SEO...

I thought Touch Local had the worst reputation for agressive cold calling and debit/credit card fraud, but judging from everyone's comments these guys aren't too far behind.

Just come across a web page from a google search on their telephone number 01565740710.

Here are a few comments. I think this concludes -
STAY AWAY FROM RAW MARKETING/NAUGHTY MARKETING/BABE LOUNGE
, or whatever brands they wish to call themselves.

Smudge - "Cold call asking about whether I was happy with the results I was getting from my website. I don't have a website."

Andy - "This number keeps calling our company then hanging up on us when call is answered. Looked it up - Raw Marketing, based in Knutsford. They're a real pain in the backside. Certainly wouldn't give them any business purely for their absolute rudeness!!"

Stephen - "Calls and leaves a message for me to phone them. Obviously a marketing company. Glad I checked on the website."

Lee - "Just called me to try and sell me a new Google Adwords product for £100 a month... if I want Google I will buy from Google. Slammed phone down on me when he realised I wasn't going to buy anything."

Benjamin - "Another case of cutting off the call as soon as they asked for the person dealing with Google Ad Words. How can they make anything from sales if they don't sell? Still, I suppose they have some obscure way of monetising nothing!"

Paul - "Just called me on my TPS registered number and asked to speak to my internet marketing person. Told them I didn't have one and they said they could optimise my Google Adwords, so I hung up after telling them the number was TPS registered."

Soozie - "rang twice this morning hung up both times"

Lee - "2nd call from these idiots. This time I got a lady telling me about unlimited clicks for my Google Adwords account. I said 'Sorry I am not interested' and the phone went dead."

Claire - "I never answer my phone straight off thanks to the amount of cold calls that I received a few months ago. Now I google the number when I don't recognise the area code. Got a call from these idiots which I ignored this morning."

Naive - "Naively I tried this lot. Waste of money, waste of time. Don't touch them. They lie about the service that they will provide (the guaranteed front page slots on google don't actually exist - ask google).
Don't deliver the promised service. Don't deliver the promised refund under their money back guarantee. Now obtaining refunds via credit card chargebacks. In summary, they are dishonest - don't touch them."

Sharon - "Do not touch this company. They have stolen £200 from my bank account. I took a one month only trial with them. Paid with a debit card and they have held onto my card details without my permission and are now taking money out, so far they have taken £200 unauthorised funds, and refuse to give it back. They sell you a trial which is posted with no terms on thier web site then change the wording on the web site thus locking you in to their terms. The are compleat liars. but very clever with deception. Any help with exposing them would be greatefully recived. .... I need help taking them to court so any additional evidence would be great. Beware they opperate under other names!!!"

Simon - "Offered to ensure the top spot on Google for a £200 one off up front fee and £40 a month there after. Said they would only provide the info by email after signing up, and they could only do it if you signed up right now with no option to consider and come back to them later.
best avoided imho"

Andy in Chippenham - "Just had these idiots try and call my mobile number.
Didn't even bother answering. Good thing I saw this site, or I would have answered."

James - "Yep, glad I checked here too......... wont be calling them back.... ******* left a 1 min message on my phone which costs me...."

Jim - "Just had an argument with a guy who wouldn't stop talking and wouldn't listen to me. Ranting on about being a Google expert, and how he could get my business at No. 1. I am retired. not interested. just shut up and listen !!!! Googling this number comes up with many different businesses - he never told me which one he is.

Raw Marketing
Nightlife knutsford
Babelounge - which seems to be a seedy massage parlour.
Sabai Thai Restaurant
Manor Care Home

Sounds a proper dodgy phone number"

Jim - "Just had an e.mail that has the same number as the annoying call - no idea what it actually means.

I gave Raw Marketing a detailed specification and they quoted 599 pounds. I paid the deposit. They never delivered. The developer never even read the spec before starting the work. Very unprofessional. We eventaully told them to 'forget it' and wrote off the deposit. Don't use them if you want anything other than a boilerplate plain website.

Hi guys, I currently have a package with Raw Marketing where I get 3 keyphrases that appear in that yellow sponsored listing box at the top of Google. This costs me £50 per month and for some reason, I just checked my statement and they've bumped up the cost to £58.75

I have no idea why they've done this or how to get my money back. I have been overcharged by them before by £50. Luckily, they gave me my money back. Now they appear to have no website. I emailed madmatters and their email address doesn't work. I have no idea how to get my money back.

I've been stung by Touch Local also who I paid over £350 for 12 month's worth of advertising. And even after numerous angry emails telling them I didn't want to renew they still told me I had more to pay. It was only after I threatened to take them to court that they stopped taking payment. I think I'll be sticking around these forums more often. It seems I could've saved myself a good few hundred pounds.

I'm going to cancel the advertising but can anybody tell me how to get an ad in that sponsored yellow box at the top of google? (Not adwords on the right hand side). And also how to get in Touch with Raw Marketing (if it's possible?)

Thanks guys.

t can anybody tell me how to get an ad in that sponsored yellow box at the top of google?

These are also Adwords - the top two or three are generally displayed at the top of the page for keywords with higher numbers of bidders. Set up your own Adwords account at google.co.uk/adwords, or use a paid service to set one up for you.

I am starting a small claim against Raw Marketing. I have a few people already who have joined me in this claim. Have you been ripped off by them? If so please get in touch.
The more of us there are the easier it will be to get our money back and hopefully put them out of business for ever.

Be VERY wary of this company

Unless you want to be scammed, ripped off or both

I am trying to post a link for members to read other warning regarding this company, but I can't as I am new here and this is my first post

If you visit np-forum either .com or .co.uk and read the warnings section you will gain a better insight into this company

I am a current client of Babelounge. My name is Chris and I own/run Eye Candy Escorts. We bought a bespoke website from babelounge, its has taken a long time to put together but we are getting there.

I agree with some statements ie they dont particularly listen to what you want in your spec but have to totally disagree with the whole contact thing. Every time I have rang them someone has answered and tried to help me out. Matt even spoke to me at about 9pm one Friday from home on his mobile, cant say thats bad communication like.

So on the site, its getting there but its taking a while and I have had many changed but at least they try.

After reading all the bad press and getting a lot of flack in the North East I sent a less then polite email to Matt followed by a less than happy call on monday and he said let me know what you want to do to make things better with the site and we will do it....... at the moment cant say fairer then that...... watch this space.

On the SEO front im kinda happy our maps position has improved however not sure if this is down to them or myself but we will call it ok. Just wish it was natural listings.

All in all I will say im happy with babeloung currently dont think they are a rip off operation just think they may have made a few enemies in the business which in the adult industry is not a good idea. Lets see if they can redeem themselves?????!!!!!

If anyone can suggest some help on the natural listings from I would really appreciate it, dont even feature in the first 20 pages on google bar the map.

Chris

ps maybe we should give babelounge a bit of space to rectify the problem...... starting to feel a bit sorry for them seeing as they are doing an alright job for me and didnt slam them phone down when I was having a go!!!

Well for starters your homepage title only contains your business name so what exactly are you trying to rank for in Google? Just optimising this would see a huge improvement in your rankings. (Providing your website is the EyeCandyEscortsNewcastle one).

A search for your business name also brings up numerous other websites/businesses called Eye Candy Escorts, who are they? Is it the same company? If you own any of those other domains that appear on the first page of Google for a search on your business name then there is tons of opportunities to make use of this.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I always get told not to put anything on the internet that might backfire........ well this one did. Babelounge/Raw/Naughty/Kinky/Whoever else under that umbrella are just a complete waste of time/space. So farI have paid around £700 for a bespoke site that has now been sold to someone else, had numerous unwanted banners added to my site and also the site keeps going crazy with a lot of down time and hey Babelouge are no where to be found.

According to my site which is now half broken half changed I am now an escort agency in Kent and have a totally different set of contact details.... and there was me thinking "it must just be a quiet week".

Contacted babelouge over the last week with no luck.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay clear of these guys, no idea what they are doing, just jumping on the industy band wagon.

Feel like I am just bashing my head of a wall with these guys.
