Does anyone have a good word to say about YODEL?

It is, however, factually true to say that YODEL, and their even lower rent subsidiary Collect Plus, are still struggling to catch up from the back log. I suspect it will be after Christmas before they do so. In the meantime, the companies that used them will have dealt with the hundreds of Customer issues this has caused, and paid the cost of the courier's poor service.

A word on the pricing thing. Yodel are not the cheapest. Neither are Collect Plus. This is not about price, or cheap, but about investment and infrastructure. And - to be sure we are being balanced here, with the exception of the top flight players, most providers are exactly the same.

Thought I'd come in here with more naysaying about YODEL.

A few months ago, I ordered a terrarium for one of my geckos from a website that uses YODEL for deliveries. A terrarium is made almost entirely of glass, so it is very fragile, and the box arrived with fragile stickers on every side.

Of course, predictably, it was completely smashed up. There was even holes on two different sides, which meant it took a beating from two different directions.

I got a refund from the seller, thankfully, and they said they would no longer use YODEL - because apparently, this wasn't the first time they had smashed a terrarium. Considering they are huge, already assembled glass tanks, I'm not surprised but it definitely should have been handled with much, much greater care.

I've had terrariums delivered with other companies (more expensive ones) successfully, but maybe with such fragile items its the luck of the draw, but considering how many 'fragile' stickers there were - you'd think they'd take greater care.

good news, my parcel sent last Thursday on a 48 hour service has actually been delivered today.
bad news, the supplier has got my order wrong! i've told them that they had better not be sending the correct items via Yodel...

i had a delivery from Yodel about 10 day ago, 6 bottles of wine from Asda. no exaggeration, it took the driver 10 mins in the back of the van to find my parcel, he was literally throwing boxes all over the place. just hope there weren't any more wine orders in there!
