Do Videos Get Higher Organic Reach On Facebook?

Hi all, I'm a small business owner and sell phone case online. I have a Facebook page for my shop, trying to drive more people to my own website to buy products.

Everyone says that native Facebook videos achieve a higher organic reach rate. But my video content always gets MUCH LOWER organic reach than regular image or text based content. Does anyone have the same problem?

I hire a freelancer to make videos on Fiverr, and I have confidence my videos come with good quality.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Advice will be much appreciated.

Maybe it's your vidoes that are the problem.

No.

Do people really want to watch a video about a phone case? I suspect not.

If I create a video and upload it to YouTube, then share it in various Facebook groups, it will get some traction, but once it's shared, it's like all other posts i.e. it has a short life.

If I make a copy of that video and upload it Facebook it gets more traction , I get the analytics, and it has a much longer lifetime.
Thanks for sharing these tips! I never share videos in FB groups, it sounds worth trying!

I wonder how you track the results after you share the YouTube video in FB groups? Use URL shortener services like bitly?

If you want video to have 'traction' and 'reach' you have to produce one professionally made video about a subject people are really interested in at least ONCE A WEEK. Most people with video channels do two or three.

The video has to be properly framed and the lighting has to be good (three-point lighting for head-n-shoulders) and above all, it must be scripted and free from ums and errs.

One solitary video all on its own is OK as an intro to your business or to explain one thing, but as a steady draw to your business, it really is a waste of time.
