It should not be a problem unless the business owner has not taken ownership of the domain at the time of registration.
.
Nominet will change the IPS tag on behalf of the registrant if they are requested. The process is pretty much immediate and from memory cost about a tenner...How do you do it then if the domain is registered in the small business owners name, but the control of it is in someone elses hands?
I assume you can get Nominet to change the tag for .uk domains, but is it a long winded process and do they charge?
Having all sorts of problems at the moment with someone who doesn't know anything about domains and can't get in touch with the person controlling the Tag.
It got me wondering how many other small business owners are like this?
Why would you expect small business owners to know anything about it? If Bob is good at joinery and runs a small company with 10 people making joinery stuff, why would he know what a domain tag is?
I don't know what a domain tag is!
Do you mean the address the domain is registered to?
