The short answer is yes. The tools provided to enable you to do this are evolving and being added to. The Marketplace is being updated to a Member -2- Member offer section, Member in Focus we do now, the directory for laid members is bolder and brighter with more updates are due out in next week or so, and you may seen we advertise paid members businesses where we can.

Self promo posts on the forums is a no no for all though.

Sorry. I should have provided a more detailed description.

Basically I spend most of my days either doing programming or server management and wanted to try and see how well offering these services would be taken up.

I've noticed quite a few posts which I could help with. Basically I just want to be able to offer some advice and mention that I can handle those services.

I just thought I'd offer help to people looking for web hosting and website development if they wanted it. I wasn't going to do a hard sell. Just mention that I provide some of those services and then I'd let them decide on their own.

Your biggest problem on UKBF like most other members I dont know anything about you
To me your just Kerwin.
I have engineered my time on here so that everybody knows what we do and the result of this is that my business is the UKBF business that people on here have in their minds without searching when they require an urgent or dedicated courier anywhere in the UK.

Nobody has to worry about the movement of freight because I am here

I'd say I could provide some useful advice as I'll been working with servers and websites for at least the last five years.

Which could be a useful service to many. The tax deductible cost of membership is tiny and could easily be covered with a single lead from a forum member.

As Jeremy said, he just knows you as Kerwin and nothing about what you or your business does. Same for me and I'd suggest everyone else on here too, you need to change that.
As @fisicx mentioned, the cost of membership is just two cups of coffee a month and you can expand your business service by having your business profile, signature and member in focus selling your business services for you across the site too. Plus save a few quid on some partner offerings.
