your pr for that site is 2 not so good considering your using black hat techniques

and your top for a few words that all include volkswagen wow considering that word is in your domain name you should be top ,terms like car parts ,car spares or anything like that your nowhere to be seen !
if your happy for being top for a very small niche and it makes you money keep going ,your sites still poor and i bet it isnt top in a months time

Look on a different thread.
SEO's that rely on the key word being in the URL aint that great.

Url wont determine your position.
Just skill.
Also PR dont mena squat when. I have put pr2 websiteds above pr5's

No disrespect, but being top for any other Keyword other than Volkswagon would be a waste, as it is in the end a Volkswagon spare site.....

As posted previously. Please DO NOT take Ali's advice about keyword rich domains. My first hand experience is that for certain niche markets putting keywords in a URL CAN give significant help with SEO efforts. I don't know why Ali keeps taking this stance but believe me it CAN make a difference

i agree with flying cards
keywords in a domain make a hell of a diffrence and has been proven so especially in my own personal experience i can only give opinions and it works dont know why ali would say such a thing but if it works for him not using that help then fair play to him !

if pagerank means nothing why do google give out pagerank ,pagerank determines how much link juice you will get from a site and is very important ,it is the be all and end all of seo but again its an important factor

PageRank is not that important, unless you want to sell links.

The pagerank of your own site is not that important but the pagerank of the sites which link to you is important in my experience

of course the pagerank of the other site is important thats the whole point but why would a site with a good pagerank want to link with someone with a pr of 2 or less (they wouldnt as only one site would be gaining ) hence why its important for your own pagerank to be good and then you will get offers of links with better ranked sites

Officeruler,

You really don't get this SEO thing do you? Toolbar PageRank is a vanity thing and means nothing. PageRank on the other have is used as a ranking signal but it's score is a secret.

Having a keyword in your domain name or URI can help but only for an exact match and even then the actual strength against the 200+ other ranking signals is not good.

I'd ignore sirearl, he obviously knows nothing as he's only being doing it for 93 years, has gone gaga and keeps his millions under the mattress.

Then why do you keep going on about PR?

because someone on here asked why and i gave my opinion which works for me and you butted in .
if you dont like the info on a thread then you shouldnt comment on it .
Noone on here is sayin pagerank is massive in seo terms but its still something thats worthwhile ,and thats my point .

the only other point i made on this thread is that i do not recommend using black hat techniques .

again this is my way of working not yours take what you want from what i say its all good information and hopefully someone will benefit from it

A forum is a place to share ideas and opinions. If a member makes a statement then there is often a reply asking for clarification. That's how it works.

PageRank is part of the google algo and is just one of 200+ ranking signals. Every once in a while google publishes a PR score for each page in it's index. This toolbar PR is NOT the same as PageRank and has no SEO value at all.

Incidentally for those not in the know, PageRank is named after the inventor Larry Page and is not related the rank of a page.
