Yes, they are cheap, but the quality of products is terrible. First shipping is OK but next orders are just worst and worst. They work in a simple way. First, they show what a good provider they are - to get next contracts and then they cheat on quality. I am not saying that each company from China is the same but I used to buy from several companies from there, and there always been the same problem.

It`s naieve to think you can just produce something in a country across the other side of the globe, for a fraction of the uk manufacturing costs, and still believe everything will be perfect. Just doesnt happen. I import hundreds of pallets each year, and yes there are a few hiccups... but not many, GET yourself a QC agent team out there ;)

hahaha, why do you want to buy cheap always?
Maybe some factory can offer a very very low price for your goods , but need to be quality impairment .
Sometimes we offer the quotation to the client for high quality goods at competitive price, but some of them want to cut half of the price . i just say " i can do the goods at your price for you , but i don't promise you as the same quality !" .

I know that the quality depends on price! But it is not fair that when you are on the fairs you can see nice samples. You order first container and the quality is the same like on the sample but next order is just terrible. I used to order the rugs. How did they cheat me? In a simple way. The quantity was ok, but the weaving was two time more scattered . They cheated me on the yarn and the rugs were just terrible. I don't know maybe everything depends on the sector. Oh, one more thing... I didn't ask them to change the price. I agreed for their price.

if doing business with the factory which like you talking about , that was terrible.
in my opinion ,if want to be business for long time , the supplier wasn't not only make goods for clients , but make good goods with the clients !

Of course but I thought that at CANTON FAIRS is the right place to meet new suppliers!? I was there and everything looks perfect... to the moment of second order. I could hire a company which is checking the items before shipping but it costs few thousand dollar. And it is me provide them all the information, specifications etc. I can do this by myself for free. The real problem is not agent but the trust and the loyalty.

They saw you coming:eek: Most work on a % of the order value or for a set fee. I've just appointed a new agent who's costing me $600.0 I'll let you know how I get on, but initial contact has been excellent.

A small price to pay for peace of mind;)

Maybe... but I have changed the industry few months ago and start to run online business. I don't need agent anymore. Risahe has asked for opinion about buying from China... I have just desribed my opinion in my posts. And one more time: I do not say that each company is the same... maybe only me had a bad luck.

After learning of your sufferings , I couldn't help sympathizing with you !
There is one word in china : "Once bit, twice shy". I knew that you had lost your confidence in chinese factory , and is difficult to re-establish .anyway , hope your business are going well.
