We are in the market for a dedicated server. Must be secure and support must be good.

Can any of you recommend and UK based companies?

I hunted around for a while and these guys where probably the best
melbourne .co .uk

The are cheaper ones in the USA though: wiredtree . com and hostgator . com.

You might want to look into VPS servers as well less admin needed and good performance. wiredtree VPS is very good, support is brilliant.

Had to put spaces in the domain as it will not let me post URLs yet....

Hi Gary,

I use Heartinternet never had a single problem, and have many sites / apps hosted with them

If you do look to go with them as a Partner / Reseller i may be able to save you some money

I actually use heart for domains, moved from them when they werent offering dedicated servers, may have to take another look.

I have spoken to Heart regarding their dedicated servers and all seems very positive. I would be keen to hear from anyone else that has one.

Are you looking for windows or linux, managed or unmanaged?
How much bandwidth do you require.

If you provide answers to these questions I'm sure you can be pointed in the right direction! :)

I'm not connected with them in any way, other than as a very satisified customer.

On original setup they were HUMAN, unlike my previous hosting co, and since then I have enjoyed 365 24/7 uptime.

We've been up against Rackspace in a number of recent tenders but won the business. Typically the conclusion is the same; we provide the same levels of product and quality but are able to do it cheaper. Not silly cheap, just cheaper.
