A Code Monkey is actually a derogatory term for someone who programs the same rubbish day after day without any skill at all involved. It's basically a programmer who should be doing something better as they're more skilled than the work they're doing. It can also mean a programmer without a clue of what they're doing (hence a monkey) who puts together snippets of code they've found. Luckily, that isn't me.
The term my friend and I use it in is someone who just sits in front of a computer all day, night and every second of existence programming and lives purely for that. So you're just coding all the time.
As it's a company name, change that into Coding Monkeys and bingo. Everyone remembers it and it's still quite true.
