We are very aware what's going on here... Bit too much time on your hands people? Anyway We just wanted to thank you all. That old saying there is no such thing as bad publicity is very true. We have been getting orders every day as a result of this thread. So thanks again from everyone at Dallamore :)

I would have to discourage that, they will ban you!! Lol

If sift media ever get their act together and would like to reply to our request to purchase advertising space on this website let us know, there is clearly a requirement for our services…

now that you're back again, would you care to comment on your relentless spamming techniques?

perhaps i'm in the minority, but if i was looking for a service & came across this info on yourselves, it doesn't come across as very professional & i wouldn't use you purely for that reason.

I have already commented on the previous page. I said thanks very much for this thread, it will save our Google AdWords Spend for this month!

Anyone on here who makes out they have never done any "spamming", is either a liar, never run a company or about to go out of business very soon. Cold Calling, Mail Shots, Email Campaigns... It happens, everyone does it, live with it... ;)
Cold calling using datalists, email campaigns using opt in data, mailshots using verified cleansed data YES...........
Spamming no not really!
Why did you not simply consider buying a full membership adding a signature setting up an offer and doing it that way?
FOR £36 you would have had a good business approach and whats £36 if you can afford to advertise here....

Your Own Website is probably used to harvest business details!

I'm not looking for advertising where I have to sit for 8 hours a day posting on here. I don't have time for that.
Your right other businesses do use our directory as do they others too.
Its a big problem for directory owners and something that cant really be helped as such.
We do however have seeded listings for those that do it and we have fun with them lets say.
You dont need to dedicate 8 hours a day to posting on here....
Useful advice on all things related to your niche and thats enough and you gain a reputation of being knowledgable which counts for much more than a banner advert.
You obviously do have the time with all the spam on here :)
Use the site right and get rewarded :)

We posted 3 ads - that took about 30 seconds each. It is this thread that is doing all the hard work. Never mind £36 for the signature, I'll pay you all £36 each to keep it at the top of the page. We have had 9 calls and e-mails about the offer today alone.

People know it's a great offer and when they have some references from our previous clients they are more than happy to deal with us spamming or not.
If your happy with 9 calls from one post which has gone right or wrong depending on how you look at it, that would indicate that your spamming doesn't work so why do it?

Your clients must be really dumb to hire someone who has to spam forums to drum up business....

either i've lost the plot, or all posts by Dallamore have now been deleted? isn't it usual to just ban the user but the posts remain? if this thread was originally left here to highlight the spamming in the the first place, why delete the spammers replies now?

or perhaps this was an un-official representative from Dallamore & the company have asked for the posts to be removed? hmmm, interesting...(other conspiracy theories are available ;))

from the few replies i have seen, i can't say they were doing Dallamore's reputation any favours!

(thanks to those who quoted his replies in the meantime, at least some of it still makes sense!)

in a nutshell they spammed we fought back with anti spam, they did came back under persona number (lost count) and started bragging that actually they were getting 9 new clients a day thanks to this thread (oh really)

we continued to rib this new persona and it has eventually been kicked as well

maybe they will give up now who knows

You serious - why? He is taking the.....
Don't say it or you will get an email as well!

The notification is for libel and they are claiming against current and future losses despite the numberous posts that this thread has brought in lots of new clients!

Do you normally send an email for this, surely if you were taking legal action you would receive a letter from the courts?
Dunno, maybe some of the legal bods here can help. The email begins:

"We are required by law to ask notify your prior to starting legal action for your Liable Comments made regarding Dallamore".

and has been signed by the MD not a solicitor.

When we took went down the court route I cannot remeber having to notify them we were taking them to court, you might want to look at the proceedures on moneycliam.gov, we didn't use a soliticitor. I cannot actually see anything you have written which sticks out either, so why have they singled you out?

let us know how it goes!

surely all this legal/smeagel stuff is thrown out these days, the courts must get it all the time? he said this..they said that..blah blah!

i'm just interested because a friend has setup a controversial website that is causing a stir and theres nothing the courts can pin on them, if the facts are correct you can lampoon them all you want.

Having dealt with the real Mr Wallace and knowing how he operates I thought you might like to read the 2 articles found on Google at present under Roger Wallace Perth.

He has also moved offices, leaving unpaid rent, unpaid bills and claims to be suing everyone for libel!!

I guess any web company that resorts to the lowest form of advertising, by spamming, and therefore really contradicting one of the main objectives of the industry, ie to stop spammers, is a bit deluded and not worth dealing with.

You'll notice that Dallamore.com is quite riddled with spelling mistakes and typos, the Login/Registration buttons do nothing and that the parent company Wallace Industries site is also pretty pointless.

Furthermore, Mr Wallace claims to be a Managing Director of several companies, none of which are listed with Companies House, in fact the last company he was a 'director' of was struck off.

And the libel threat came to nothing.

So I suppose that the message is avoid Dallamore, they advertise by spamming, make threats and generally don't behave like a responsible business.

I've actually met Roger Wallace.

This incident was very early in my career and I admit I was too trusting and extremely niaive.

I was approached by a recruitment company called Quantica asking me if I was interested in a web designers role within Rogers last failed venture, a company called CastleKnights.

After a couple of interviews with Roger I was offered a a role within his company. I was given an offer letter, contract and starting date.

A number of factors made me feel nervous about this job. The fact Roger was so young (early twenties). The very poor quality of his company website and some of the things he was saying at the interview. Seemingly owned his own helicopter company!!!

Because of this I tracked down one of his colleagues who told me not to waste my time and that they had just quit as he was a "total fantasist" and she hadnt been paid since they started.

To cut a long story short, I never heard from Roger again and was jobless for three months with a mortgage to pay.

it wasnt long after this whole farce that he was mentioned in a full page article in the Scottish Daily Record.

I worry that Roger will be taking advantage of other young designers and clients and when the crap hits the fan he will disappear and start up another company with another forgettable name.

Well done for everyone who has been adding to this post.

This is my first post so I cant add urls but you might be interested to see

I've also been conned by Roger Wallace and his company - Wallace Industries. I paid him £1515 for a macbook. I've never seen the laptop, nor the money.

I've set up a website to support victims and warn potential ones. I do not understand why he hasn't been arrested yet as we are not the only ones scammed by him.
