Cricket Suppliers Wanted Please

S

Sales Nation

Dear All,

I am building a website specifically for the sale of Cricket Clothing and Equipment. It is my first time selling products directly myself. I am struggling to find distributors of this type of gear and also contact details to approach manufacturers directly.

Please, is there anyone out there that has a contact in one of the big companies such as Slazenger, Kookaburra or Woodworm? or the name of a reputable distributor?

Other retailers seem to want to hold on to this info as if it were goldust.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Exactly. Why would anyone give you this info. If I had an inside contact I'd keep it very much to myself.

No sports retailer can rely on just cricket, you need multiple sports equipment and clothing covering all 12 months of the year. Specifically on cricket, UK manufacturers and retailers already have the connections between them and if I'm honest I can't see what's in it for you (or them).

UK manufacturers struggle to compete with far east imports and in fact they subcontract a lot of work out there. I've played cricket and hockey for years and one noticeable change in recent years is the import of new 'brands' from overseas. I reckon this is where there might be a gap > find overseas manufacturers and sell at very competitive prices. If I wanted a Slazenger there are loads of outlets already.
