At the moment I think just the Sardinia to uk code. It would be handy to also have the return code too.A CPC code is the customs procedure code or in the guidance titled ‘requested procedure’ This is the UK import code. Is the carrier asking for the UK import code or the Sardinia export code code.?
Basically I've bought a boat and it's in Sardinia. The engines are duff so I went out last week to remove them and palletise them. I want to bring them back and fix them, then send them back. The value is zero ish now and will be around 5k worth when fixed up. I'm a permanent resident in uk all my life and also run a business. There isn’t just one code . There will be two customs declarations one to get the goods out of Sardinia and one to get the goods into the UK. Both customs services need different information.
I not sure from your posts what role you are taking in the process so very hard to help
Thank you Sir.Ok . As you are not resident in the EU you cant usually use any EU special procedures so you should just be able to tell the carrier it’s a standard export.
On import you could declare to inward processing which is procedure 5100 000
If you just want to claim VAT relief then use A04 as the last three digits.
Otherwise the standard import code is 4000000 but you will pay any import VAT and customs duty.
You really need to talk with the carrier to make sure that they are assisting you as needed.
Using the relief does come with responsibilities so use it wisely otherwise you will end up paying the import duties anyway.
