Hi guys,

has anybody here used the courier app mule? They claim to be cheaper than Royal Mail and compare a number of different couriers for the best price. Just wondered if any of you have any experience of it and if it’s any good.

I usually just go to the post office for smaller parcels, but I had a bad experience with Parcelforce and I’m looking for a better option. I saw the app advertised on Instagram and wondered if it was any good. I’ll probably try both your recommendations on Parcel2go though for any bigger packages in future. Thanks for your help

Oh wow, they seem to have U-turned quite a bit. When I last read about them, it was an AirBnB style gig-economy system for getting normal people to 'mule' your items to where they needed to go. People could sign up to be mules or safe-houses and the items were protected by down-payments at each step.

It seems like they've become a more mainstream comparison app now. I can certainly see that being more easily trusted (and more legal!).

Well I bit the bullet after I had a parcel returned as the recipient had moved and forgot to tell me. Originally it cost me around £17 to send express 24, after looking on the app to try and save some money for the return postage it ended up costing me £8.63 to send via DPD next day delivery, all I had to do was print a label and drop it at my local Morrisons and it's been delivered today! :)

Cheap, Fast, Good. Chose any two.

If they are comparing on price then it’s likely something will suffer. Probably quality of service.

That being said, a lot depends on your local courier. If the driver doesn’t care the chances of the parcel being delivered correctly decrease no matter what you pay.

Would have cost £5.99 if you had used DHL via Parce
DHL parcel are different to DHL Express. DHL parcel were originally UK mail and DHL bought them out. 99% of the the bad reviews for DHL are down to DHL parcel. We have partnered with DHL for 30 years now and consider them to be the best in the UK.
