Neither.

Using any platforms like this for content marketing is pointless. They are full of self promoting junk, 99% of which will never get seen by anyone.

Why do you want these links? What are you hoping to achieve by doing content marketing?

Your profile suggests you sell or install IT hardware. Either way people who want what you offer will be using referral, doing a google search, looking on eBay or amazon, asking question on forums and so on. You need to advertise your services on these sort of places. That way people looking for whatever will see your marketing material and hopefully click on your links.

What is your marketing budget?

What ever it is you do, the reply is still the same. You need to advertise in the places your prospective clients will be looking.

Content marketing is not the way to do this.

So I ask again, what is your marketing budget?

£300 will allow you to publish one or two articles. They will have an effective life of a few days. They won't help your ranking.

So you should have a budget of at least £300/week. Chap I know gets his content published on an influential site and pays £1500. That's the sort of budget you need.

If all they want is the link then publish on any junk site you can find. The links will have no value wherever you publish so take the £300 and dump the articles anywhere you want.

Or tell the client they are wasting their money.

I'm not supporting you, I'm saying it's not going to work. There are much better ways to spend the £300.

Adwords. Email campaign. Banner ads. On site optimisation. Connecting with target using SM.

The best methods really depends on what it is you are marketing
