Hi
Last August I was sent a cheque for £850 for stock that bounced, since then we have tried to get the money owed by debt collectors, all without success, our only option is the courts, and i dont think that will work either, as the guy lives with his girlfriend, no real assets, and knows how to work the system.
I was in our local abby branch setting up a personal account and happened to mention the cheque and that the bloke still owed me money, the assistant (who got advice from the manager) said that as I still had the cheque, I should try to represent it even though it had 'refer to drawer' on it.
Just wondering has anyone ever managed to do this successfully, i don't know if the guy has any funds in their bank account.. but is it worth a try
thanks
