Changes to Magento checkout

Hi,

Does anyone know how to make a couple of changes to the Magento checkout proccess?

I have some americanisms in there that need changing. Also how do you change the add to cart button to add to basket?

Are you able to do this via the CMS?

Dunno about the checkout changes but the 'Add to Cart' is an image.

Can't change it via the CMS but all you need to do is FTP a replacement for btn-cart.png and it's all sorted.

What would this do?

It just translates American in to British English

Your other option would be to try inline translate, its actually really slick

How does this change the 'Add to Cart' Button?

The image is called by the CSS so unless the plugin does some magic not sure how it's going to help Jimmy.

I changed the text from 'Add to Cart' to 'Buy Now' by doing this:

Log into Admin then go to System>Configuration>Developer

Select 'Translate Inline' and change 'Enabled for Frontend' to yes.

Save configuration and go to your home page. Refresh it and you'll notice some lines all over your site. Hover your mouse over the 'Add to Cart' button and a little book will appear. Select it and in the appropriate field change 'Add to Cart' to whatever it is you'd like to change it to. Click save and then go back to your Admin.

Change 'Enabled for Frontend' to no and save configuration. Then refresh your cache, refresh your home page and the changes should have taken place.

Thanks for that. I done that but when I have refreshed after making the changes they havent changed. Do you know why this would be?

Because it's an image not text.

You need to upload a new image via FTP.
