Hi guys

Iam jo from Amsterdam. I have 10 yrs experience as personal banker in UK and India. Currently iam in Amsterdam but want to move back to UK. I want to upgrade my skills before entering UK. Iam planing to do CeMAP.

Can somebody recommend a good training college for ceMAP?

what are the job prospects after doing CeMAP especially with my 10 yrs banking experience in retail sales?

Is Cemap enough or level 4 is necessary to get job in this sector?

I have heard UK housing market will revive this year, is that true?

pls help

There are many Mortgage Sales jobs going for people with CeMap 1,2,3 backed up with good sales experience.

Of course, this depends on the part of the UK you may be in.

thanks for reply.

I might be moving to Birmingham area. well at least that's the plan.

Any recommendation of colleges for preparing cemap exam?

Does the law demands that i have to be physically present in UK for cemap training?

pls advice

You can do the exams anywhere you like. I personally just ordered the books and read them then sat the exams.

I dont think you need to go to college as such to do them although nothing is stopping you doing that.

You do not need level 4 to be a mortgage advisor, thats only a requirement if your becoming a financial advisor.

I dont think the housing market will recover, were some way off what is was back in 2007 but it should improve, this year has been quite good for me - although i have started to specialise. The job market for advisors seems to be on the increase but im not sure what the competition is like - being new to the country after so long away may not make you as attractive to employers as someone who has recently been an advisor and knows the lenders criteria etc.
