Mac users use Mamp
Linux users use Lamp

I asked my current hosting provider to install me WP for testing purposed on my current hosting, just different web path- website.co.uk/wp

Yes Of course you can install a WP and could start cultivating your horizons...in case you require more info about how to use WP themes, the best option will be having a Google search...

That's really good thing to know, I always mistaked I need a server or at least VPS to run WP, can someone send me the manual with more details? I will google first.
