Can you change business energy renewal dates?

I have multiple retail sites (7) and each has different renewal dates on electricity and gas supplies, along with all other utilities.
It's a pain in the arse to do all the renewals, the constant emails to say renewal coming up etc.

I'd like to have the same renewal date for all locations, but I don't want to come out of contract for all but one, to wait for them to 'catch up', which is my current thinking of the only way to do it. That way will cost a fortune with out of contract rates, especially as we have two ice cream shops that use a lot of electricity...

Anybody know how?

Maybe theres a way I haven't thought of.

What did your supplier/s say when you asked them?

I might have just worked out how to do this, it doesnt seem that all suppliers will, but Yuenergy will do any contract length over a year, so I am going to switch to them as contracts end, specifying a date at least a year from my longest renewal.

Sorted!

What are their rates like?

If they are more expensive than other suppliers, does changing make sense?

Ive just been quoted 6p/kwh for gas, 30p standing charge, which seems very cheap. Ive used them on and off in the past 10 years, which means they must have come up cheapest in my searches at least a few times...
Next best I've been quoted is 9p/kwh (british gas lite) so significant saving.

Why is it such a problem, just set calendar reminders for each of them, having different dates means your risk of being stuck at a high rate is reduced, win some lose some kind of situation

Nick Grogan has it correct here. Most suppliers you'll come across only do the straight 12/24/36 month durations which can be frustrating for multi-site businesses like yours.

Depending on the various start dates, there are some suppliers that could set up a group contract now, which takes over each supply in due course, and have a fixed common end date.

The number of suppliers that can/will do this though, is limited unfortunately.

So although you'll have a transition period, it would get you into a position of having all supplies, with one supplier, and one contract end date (albeit you might find having electricity with one supplier, and gas with another to be financially more beneficial - as suppliers contract for gas and elec separately anyway).

If you have a list of supplies you want to send over, we should be able to help if needed.
