Can retailers sign up to multiple affiliate program?

So I have created a site, got some content to get it off the ground and produced a lot of content for social media to market it.

Because some retailers are on different program webgainz, viglink, rakuten, visual soft etc can they sign up to multiple?

If so what happens which program will record the click and payout as it were? This is usually automatic as the networks provide you with JavaScript that turn links into motetized links.

It's all too easy to join multiple programs and end up multiple paying for the same sale.

If you don't mind paying 3 different accounts for a single sale, then it's a great plan

Most multi network clients will have a validation process to stop this kind of thing. That will either involve an automatic check during the 'pixel' firing stage when a sale takes place, or a manual 'post tracking' check. I say most...certainly not all!
