Hey,
I'm willing to create a company under a name but it's been taken, can i register by adding another word within the company name.
I add that we are not in the same industry as well.

Check example below:
Jada Limited (taken)
Jada Holding Limited (what i want to register)

Thanks,

If you look on Companies House there is a guidance booklet on company names. Some words cannot be added as they are ignored. Some words cannot be used at all and some require approval from various bodies. You can also check the name on Companies House by inputting on their search page. Alternatively, just call them and check the name with them.

    Yes, it's allowed.

A new law came into effect in 2015 that removed the word Holding from the list of "Sensitive Words".

The "same as" regulations were also liberalised at that time and now allow for you to register Jada [[some word]] Limited which would likely have not been allowed before.
