Buying mailing lists

In my experience, 99% of SPAM comes from people who never obtained the email addresses by legitimate means anyway, either from list data suppliers or by their own efforts. They simply picked it up on social network sites, public forums and others.

In essence that is what may tarnish the value of email marketing.

In other words the complaint most people really have is not that they don't value email marketing, but that thet get too much dross.

There are many benefits to email marketing, and now that many people carry sophisticated mobile devices, most types of emails, including plain text, HTML, flash and others can be read on the move.

That's a hugh benefit in a competitive business world over plain old direct mail.

If your a busy person and happen to be travelling a few hundred miles from your office, do you really want to miss out on a good supplier offer or business opportunity until you get back to the office? If so a competitor may take advantage of that offer whilst you are left standing.

what tarnishes email is people sending emails without permission. It is very simple. If we want an email from you we will let you know. Otherwise dont add us to a list ...or you can write to us directly one-on-one, not choose to add us to a list.

Does not matter how targetted you believe the list you purchased is. Its very simple. Permission first. You don't get permission when you buy a list.

Permission is non-transferrable

So again I say if you want to conduct lead generation by email and have no adress rented lists is the only way to go if you cannot be bothered to bulild the list yourself.

To Nickloloz, according to a research published on the 5th, 71% of consumers prefer to be contacted about new products and services via email.

If a company wants to communicate with their customers, they should choose the communication method customers actually prefer. For example, telemarketing was found to be the least favourite method of communication. In my student days I worked as a telemarketer and found many prospects to have a hostile attitude towards me, and indeed, most telemarketers, regardless of how good they are. If a customer doesn't want to talk to you from the moment you say who you are, what are the chances of them actually buying form you?

Maybe the reason your e-mail campaign didn't work is because it wasn't targeted well? or bought from a company with questionable e-mail gathering methods? or your message wasn't delivered properly?

If executed correctly, E-mail marketing is a very efficient way to tell customers about your products and services, but the emails must be engaging, relevant to their needs and wants and with a good call to action.
