    UTV internet. I'm only new to the role and I'm hoping to increase my potential customer base....This forum seemed like a good place to start.

    Can you offer any advice - It's specifically the Northern Irish market that I'm looking to target, however good quality data seems to be hard to come across.

    I've sent e-mails to a several b2b data companies I've found on the internet however I have had either no reply or I've found that they have put posts on review sites about themselves posing as other companies and are clearly not to be trusted....Again I e-mailed them challenging this and I haven't heard anything back.

    Gary,

    NI email data lists are hard to come across. I used to work in the data industry and NI seems to be a relatively neglected area by the companies who collect the data.

    There is data there specifically for NI but you are probably better trying to put the list together yourself as you will get better results through your own list rather than a purchased one.

    In every forum I ever graced it always ends the same way, someone poses a question and eventually the subject gets derailed.

    Anyway I work with a natural skin care company based in Derry, Londonderry, Stroke City, The Maiden City, The Walled City, The City of Song, The old town on the Foyle (have I missed any?)

    For our English friends all of the above are the same place such is our wee lot :rolleyes:

    My names Joe and I work for the EXCITE group based in Lisburn...we specialise in provided promotional merchandise and exhibition and displays services / goods.

    Personally I would like to think of myself as a bit of a marketing guru with real hands on experience...as I work mailshots, analytics, websites, postal, seo, ppc, and much more on a daily basis.

    I'm hear to learn alot more...and hopefully offer some adivce when I can.

    I can't believe I started this thread in 2009 and it is still going!!

    I have been away from this forum for a long time and stumbled across it again today, there is a lot going on in Northern Ireland after all.

    I wondered if anyone would give some comments on my newish website ...

    For some reason I haven't been getting notifications of replies, which is why I'm only picking up on this now....

    I think it's been very much the case of people not knowing what we do (specifically business to business).

    A lot of people know that we provide services to residential customers however, it is in the b2b market that we're most competitive.

    One of the few providers to offer fibre optic broadband. Obviously I can't quote pricing for telephone line rental/calls or broadband on the forum but if anyone wishes to PM me they can do.

    Hey its Andrew here from purple oak design. I own a web design company offering affordable web design for small businesses. Can't get over this thread has been here for 3 years and still going :)

    Is there any good business forums for Northern Ireland specifically?

    I am currently looking at having a site built specifically for Northern Ireland - I will be posting further information in the coming weeks.

    I would also like to welcome any feedback from the likes of yourself as to what you would like to see included on an NI business webiste.

    Hi Gary,

    This is brilliant. I have been searching for this for a long time. Compared to the rest of the UK, businesses here seem cut off from one another. We need a good platform to interact, share experiences and help one another.

    I have lots of things I would love to see included. Have you got a free day? lol! :rolleyes:

    I agree Andrew, this is something that I have noticed. I really feel that NI businesses would benefit from interaction with other SME's, experience sharing and indeed trading through a specific NI site.

    Anything that people want to see included will be considered. After all it's the likes of people on here that will be using it.

    Hi there, we sell staff training all over Northern Ireland at half the price of any where else. We are doing this because we believe business costs have gotten to an all time high and our goal is to bring them down again while improving the quality of the business. Its a tough job but were starting to see the fruits of our labour with some of our clients now winning awards!
