Could you someone help me with their experience of using Ring Central or Vonage as business telephones? What will be your recommendation for a startup company to keep the costs low and get a decent service to start with or any other alternative which may help me to set a dedicated landline for my business?

Many thanks

Thanks Steven. Being a startup all I will need is few dedicated phone numbers for general enquiries and sales along with the option of call forwarding to my mobile phones. I am planning to my existing home broadband for now as it goes mostly unused largely so can nip in some business work for few months before I apply for a business broadband connection.

Do you think it will be cost effective to go with voipfone with call forwarding for each numbers?
Is it possible to forward a call on two mobile phones to ring at the same time?
Would you recommend to go for their hardware of snom devices and telephone numbers to start with?

Many thanks

Call forwarding is 10p a minute to mobiles and can be setup to forward to multiple numbers simultaneously so both will ring until one is answered.

Snom phones are very good, Voipfone sell them preconfigured so you just connect it to your router and it works. I'd keep it simple and just have one phone number to begin with unless you have a particular reason to need more. I wouldn't bother having a separate business broadband connection if you are just working from home, more expense for little benefit over your existing home broadband.

Ring Central and Vonage are US companies marketing in the UK. Why not use a home grown VoIP company that does things better than both of them?

Give us a call and check out our customer service - 020 7043 5555 - the guys will give you impartial advice- they're support, not sales.

Both, many thanks for your honest comment and I did some research about all three of them.. I think voipfone is looking good so far to me. If Steven is using for years and had a no issue as others had expressed satisfactory service it must be doing good. Will speak to them today.
