Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can buy some iPhones with broken screens or just damaged iPhones in general. I am looking to set up a business where I repair them and sell them but I am really struggling to find some stock.

Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.

I've had a look on eBay but I can't really find any for good value and the independents tend to the keep the stock for themselves.

But there must be somewhere they are getting them from because it seems like they get a constant supply

Apple keep and sell them on as refurbished I believe. I've heard that there are some wholesalers that sell them or even sometimes insurance companies sell them to get rid of the surplus of stock. I'm just really struggling to find them

China is buying broken shit phones in at a higher price than US and EU buyers are willing to pay for. I bought from a US supplier but they prefer to sell to China now because they are willing to give more money. Don't buy of eBay most of them are beyond repair and people butchered them before the sell them on. In my opinion your are many years to late for that business model. There are already enough players on the market. Sourcing them is your biggest challenge, fixing and selling is the easy part.

Hmm good point but to be honest I'm not looking at for a long term. I'm a student and just need to make some money while at uni I just need something that I can fit around my time ideally so I can pay enough attention to my studies. Where do you think these U.K. Shop gets their phones from then? They must still be making a profit

Put a paid add on gumtree in your city and offer to buy in broken phones. To give you a better guideline in regards to buy in prices for a broken device that still turns on I would pay 5% of retail price. Example ipad 2 new 16GB £400 . Damaged but still turns on buy in price £20. The 5% buy in works from ipad 2 and later models and and starts from iphone 5 onwars quite well. Check prices here to get a better idea ipad-recycle co uk

There will be places doing a constant supply. Does not mean you will be able to access that supply.
If you cannot find what you are after at the price you want and in quantity you want then consider something else as a business.
Lots of things students can do as a business.
