Bottle labelling machines.

There's loads for sale online, but do any of you have any personal recommendations for one, from personal experience only?

I recommend LABELROO Bottle Labelling Machine, I've used it on a client project to label Honey Jars and it will definitely work on bottles as well, it's very easy to set up and consistent to use, I notice their website is down at the moment but the machine can be bought on amazon, make sure your labels are compatible with the machine, for example, the labels have to come in a roll, the core size 76mm, Label Direction: Left edge leads, and winding direction: outside wound, I use printedeasy.com

What volume of bottles will you be running and what type of label?

The first label might not align 100% but the second will and it will stay aligned until you attach a new roll.

Also, which one do / did you use?

Does it have to be left edge leading?

It can be left or right-edge lead (it's a matter of flipping the bottle/jar), and I'm sorry but I did not understand your question "which one do / did you use?" I use printedeasy.com, rectangle label, white pp plastic material, permanent adhesive, satin coating, applied by machine, 76mm core, left edge leads, outside wound and the label dimensions were 210mm X 55mm
