Blogger Doesn't Promote My Products?

I have just started up my own jewellery business as a sole trader. Then one woman, she also lives in UK, she reached me out on Twitter, saying that she would like to collaborate with me and promote my products on her social media profiles, such as youtube, on her blog. She said, she has lots of followers on her social media profiles because she's a professional wrestler, beauty & fashion blogger. So, if I send her my product, she will promote it on her social media profiles, youtube, and talk about it on her blog as well.

So I checked out her social media profiles, and could see that she does have lots of followers. So I trusted her, and sent her a couple of my chokers since Monday this week. And she should have received them by now. But since then, I have not heard back from her about she has received them or not, and if she has when she's going to promote it, and so on? So I tried to send her a couple of emails, asking her about she has received them or not. And if she has, when she's going to post about it just let me know. But she did not respond to my emails? She just ignored my emails completely! This is not good. What should I do?

I thank you in advance!

Write it off to experience and move on. There is nothing you can do about this. And even if she had blogged about the products the chances of it generating any sales would have been very slim.

The problem you have is there are thousands of people all doing same as you and there are thousands more on etsy. Making any money at all out of your new venture is going to take a lot of time, effort and probably money over many, many months. And even then the chances of survival are slim. I read a study a while back that put the failure rate of new businesses at around 70%. The exact figure isn't important, the point is more fail than survive. And the number that get past 10 years is under 10%.

I don't care anymore.
I hope its just that you don't care about the blogger and not your business? you will have much harder setbacks than this to deal with. Just delete anything from bloggers, SEO experts etc. If you feel you do need to be polite then you can always tell them to buy something and when they review it you will refund them. But you will be wasting your time as they just want free stuff as mentioned above.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. However, it might be that she is busy as it's only been few days. If she does not fulfil her promise - well, you just have to put it down to bad experience.

From experience - Influencer marketing does work. But like with anything in life you have to do some research and know what you doing. Lack of experience in this field usually results in inaccurate information from advisers.
