I have just got a blackberry crve 3g.

I logged into facebook (most important things first :p) and i have a message on there. Ive read it and now also deleted it.

Yet on the homescreen of my phone it still has a little facebook icone with a 1 next to it. There are no messages on it what so ever.

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Whenever I had a rogue message icon on my blackberry, the offending message was sat in the "messages" folder (despite having deleted the message from the SMS/email folder already).

Navigate to the messages folder on your home screen (generic message folder, not a specific email/sms folder), and see if you have messages in there still showing as unread.

I had a BlackBerry (best phone I've ever had, except for the Motorola V3i) and this used to happen all the time.

When you go to your notifications, or messages, click the BlackBerry button and go to "Mark Prior As Read". This will then mark all your notifications and messages as read.

The problem is that sometimes either the App or Facebook think you have an unread message from months ago. Thats why it looks as if you have read everything, but in fact it'll be a message way down your list that's causing the problem.
