Black Friday

Indifferent but laugh at all those who go crazy to save a few quid

Perhaps not everyone has untold wealth like you are pretending to have.

One of Sainsburys contributions to Black Friday is to exchange Nectar points for a coupon worth double their value so for my £50 of Nectar points I buy £100 of wine. If you find that amusing then more fool you

Love it. Lots of sales.
The business is focused on basically Black Friday and the following 3 weeks. In the past have done 50% of annual turnover in that short time period.

Hey Mr D

I'm writing a blog post on Black Friday for the UKBF blog and would love to hear a bit more about your experiences. Could you tell me a bit more about how Black Friday impacts your business? For example:
- What is your business and what sort of offers and deals you run for BF?
- How these benefit your business?
- Any tips for other small business owners to make the most out of this time of year?

Do post your thoughts here or DM me if easier :)

Online sales - don't usually have offers on the day, no need.
The sites affect the business - people go mad buying online that day though can be quiet for a few days beforehand.

Be prepared for lots of sales. Have a plan for when your courier tells you they can't collect that day - will be next week sometime.
Plan for overtime that weekend - we used to do 20 hour days.
And be prepared to manage buyer expectations.

American style tacky faux-bargain rubbish!

Im not sure anybody’s fooled by it.

It may well be one of the many American traditions that we have adopted with open arms but not all of the price reductions are artificial nor the products tacky.

For anyone wanting Alexa products Black Friday or the Boxing Day sales are a good time to buy them and BMW offer genuine reductions on some of their "connected" products too

Amazon had deals on Alexa products at different times through the year - so very artificial.
