What's the best Wordpress directory plugin you've ever used?

There is no best. There is just the right one for the job. I've tried loads of them and they all have things I like and things I don't.

You just have to do what I did and try them all until you find the best fit for your directory.

Or build your own. It wasn't that complicated, it's only a custom post type.

@SEO Developer I've got to side with fisicx on this one.

There is a pattern where you ask "what is the best..." - and the problem is that 'best' can be subjective. This was explored in the best broadband thread.

Best WP directory plugin for what? Price? Responsiveness? Looks? Flexibility?

If you code, you can tweak the one most closely matching your needs to give you what you want.

You seem to think that there is always a "best" when it doesn't usually work like that. It's horses for courses, there's rarely ever a straight up best because there are so many variables at play.

If you keep this up you'll be challenging @Mr D and that's not a good thing.

Lol rather like @fisicx the answer is the one I wrote myself.

The advantage of custom development is that you get exactly what you need.

You may say, yes but that is more expensive blah blah, but at its heart a directory on WP is just a custom post type and some custom meta, simple stuff
