Thought it best to post this here since all the web designers seem to hover here.
Simple question, it's likely to have been asked before but I couldn't find it.
What is the best website width to use these days? As an extremely amateur web designer
I've always made my websites 760 wide for an 800x600 resolution. But considering PCs are so cheap now and many of the old CRT screens are in recycling centres, I was thinking working to a 1024 x 768 screen resolution audience would be safe. However, with all the massive sales of mini-notebooks recently is this a wise move?
