Tell us what you want?Hi, I'm looking for recommend web development companies that custom build sites rather then use template website.
Every designer/developer will use templates. Almost nobody builds from scratch anymore, everyone uses libraries of one sort of another and updates the CSS to make it look the way the client wants.Hi, I'm looking for recommend web development companies that custom build sites rather then use template website.
Unless a client specifies otherwise and understands that bespoke development costs more and takes longer.Every designer/developer will use templates. Almost nobody builds from scratch anymore, everyone uses libraries of one sort of another and updates the CSS to make it look the way the client wants.
But you will still reuse code chunks. You will adapt a contact form from another project. You will use a nav/menu from another project. You will use scripts and responsive layouts from other projects. Why would you start with a blank editor when you have a template with the head and body blocks already set up.Unless a client specifies otherwise and understands that bespoke development costs more and takes longer.
I'm no different to you. My point is you reuse code between projects. It's not about plug and play, it's about using the same scripts to do the same thing across projects. You mean that is the way you would do it?
We started in 1998 and went full time in 1999, back then there were no CMS systems, we used to hand code every website that we built. We have buit many many fully bespoke websites with CMS systems coded from scratch to the clients exact needs. Not everyone was born in the plug and play generation![]()
Lol, yes I remember that website...I'm no different to you. My point is you reuse code between projects. It's not about plug and play, it's about using the same scripts to do the same thing across projects.
For example, if you have an jquery/ajax function to verify and process a contact form why rewrite each time. It makes more sense to reuse the functions.
The sites may look different and perform different functions but a lot of the core code will be the same on each.
Do you remember this site:
CSS Zen Garden: The Beauty of CSS Design
A demonstration of what can be accomplished visually through CSS-based design.csszengarden.com
The same HTML for each site (eg a template) but wildly different designs created using CSS.
Bringing this thread back on topic...Hi, I'm looking for recommend web development companies that custom build sites rather then use template website.

Thanks
