Best VOIP Headset?

Hello.

Could someone please give me some suggestions on headsets?

I need a headset that's clear, that I can use on Skype and on professional VOIP.

I'm not sure what my budget is but I haven't got much of one, so really I'm not looking for the best, but one that will at least allow the other person to hear me clearly as if I were on a mobile/home or business phone.

Thank you!

Pretty much any ordinary phone headset will do - Tesco used to do one for under £10.

What you don't want is anything that says Skype or VoIP on it because it won't work with both Skype and SIP based VoIP and will have its own software.

It depends on whether you'll be using it with your PC/laptop or with a handset such as Snom, Cisco, Grandsream, etc. If you're using it with a computer then to echo CJD a basic one will do the job (first check reviews for the headset/s and look for comments/notes in regards to the playback and recording quality), however if you're using one with a handset it needs to be compatible with the phone's model. I use a Plantronics headset, pretty expensive at £80 but the quality is excellent and well worth the price.
