Best App for Scanning Receipts?

I'm looking for a smartphone app that can scan and order my receipts. I only have about 30/month to process, but it's still a chore. I haven't processed this years receipts at all (apart from filing them all into months). Instead of doing it by hand (will take me all day), I thought it would be easier to scan them one by one with my iPhone? Also with the new tax year looming, I'd be able to use it to scan receipts as I go along. I saw an advert for Qickbooks (I think it was called), is that a good one and is it cost effective? Any other experiences?

I think you mean Quickbooks - if so, you are able to upload the receipt but you need to do the data entry yourself. Quickbooks works best when integrated with a receipt processing app so take a look at Receipt Bank and Auto Entry

The review is a bit out of date as Auto Entry now has its own smartphone app too.

I use Office lens. It's fast and effective, it's also available for IoS

That's valuable information - I may as well stick to a spreadsheet if I have to data entry all of this years receipts. But I suppose it makes it neater if you process the receipts as you go along - next tax year maybe. I'll have a look at your link...

Does Office Lens automatically read the receipt?

I have my setup configured to convert the image to PDF which I then import into an Office 365 SharePoint Document library.

The content of each PDF document is searchable, so provided I know some of the wording or values on the receipt I can locate it very easily.
