Bad situation

I started employment with my current company 1.5 years ago. With a commission structure.

Over the course of the job, the way commission works has changed Continuously seeing my earnings drop continuously. With one decision made it decreased my wage by 15k.

Over time I've felt the squeeze more and more and not been able to meet my bills from working a 60 hour week. Anytime I have expressed my concern I've been told to be positive about the changes or look for something else and to work longer unpaid hours to try and boost commission.

This has lead me to a point where I am in a bad situation with debt issues mounting. I've suffered from anxiety and stress and heavy depression. So I have been signed off.

My boss is still contacting me while off work asking me to chase customers with a threat of clawing back previous commissions. This is making things even worse.

I just can't cope with this.

    Your boss cannot claw back previous commissions.

    When you calculate your income over whatever period you are paid, do you get at least national minimum wage for every hour worked? Currently £7.83 per hour for every hour worked? If not lodge an employment tribunal claim for failure to pay minimum wage.

    You should have left the day after. Leave now. It's not going to get any better, it's probably going to get worse.

    Aside from any legal claims you may or may not have, (not my area of expertise so can't comment on that) this job is affecting your mental health. Time to look after yourself and start afresh somewhere else with a proper pay structure that meets your needs.
    If you're having problems with debts then have a conversation with National Debtline www.nationaldebtline.org They are a charity and can offer you some really decent advice to help stop things getting any worse on the money front.

    Whilst you are off sick, take some time and write a list of what has happened since you joined the company, with original pay and contract details and every step from there to the present day

    Once you have this contact one of the great employment experts on here and they may be able to give you far better assistance knowing all the facts, you may have to pay or they might do it for free but they are the experts in employment law

    Also another option is contact ACAS as Byre suggested and use the list to tell them all that has happened
