Hi everyone.

I wondered if anyone could throw a bit of light on this for me?

I've worked hard at getting some good back links for my online shop, and guess I probably have quite a few now.

However If I look at link: (my web address) in google its showing up as no back links.

Does anyone know why this might be? Is it something to do with the company name being Rose & Grey and my web address being wwwdotroseandgreydotcodotuk (rather than with an &).

I'm totally confused.

Thanks

Lyndsey

Google doesn't show the complete backlink picture for you, it shows a selection of links. As mentioned, if you verify your site in WMT then you will see more (although not all).

Yahoo will show you morelinks, use that as a measure.

Just because google isn't showing your links doesn't mean they are not getting link value. Take a look at the pages the link is on, if it is cached in Google and the link is spiderable, then you are gaining link benefit from it.

Of course it could be that Google isn't impressed with your inbound links which is why they don't show up. I've just run a diganostic and one of your inbound links is from this page: http://www.endermologie.me.uk/index.html. There are lots more like this which may well have annoyed the great God Google.
