Are you using more tools then a standard Google Apps set?

Just doing a little research...

Are any of you using any other Google Apps beside a standard Google's set?
What other apps are you using and for what purpose?

(Google Drive (Google Apps, Google Docs) has a link under "create" button menu saying "connect more apps" - where those additional apps can be searched and "connected"

I personally don't use apps as I prefer native desktop versions to do wp, excel and presentations. Didn't even know there was 'addiitonal' apps!

Don't use any Google apps. Got OpenOffice on the 'puter and that does me just fine.

Anything else I need I just download and install. It means I don't need to be connected to anything to keep on working.

@garyk native desctop are good if you are working on one device and do not share or collaborate with anyone. Web office tools provide for a teamwork.
@fisicx Google Apps allow you to work offline as well, and automatically sync when you have an internet connection. Some other online tools also have offline & sync.

Google Apps for business used to be free for 50 users, then for 10... and now all paid. But it is not too much for a small team compared to installable software which you need to upgrade once in a few years.

Why do I need then to sync to anything? The things I need on my computer and I back up daily to an external hard drive.

The pont I was making is that I don't need these apps. I've looked at them but Google want's too much of my peronal information and requires far more permissions than I am willing to give. It's why I don't have a gmail, g+ or anyother google product. Read their T&C - they don't ensure any privacy at all.

Yep or I can just save to dropbox and access it from more than one device.

We do user Google Docs pretty heavily as it enables collaboration and collaborators and readers can read it and review changes live from any part of the world. Works well for me.

Also use the chat in the document itself while discussing.

Have done some Google scripting for a client to automate certain Adwords steps.

And that's fine if you business need this sort of collaboration. Many people don't.

If a client doesn't want to sell their soul to Google then all those apps are pointless.

My business involves some internet marketing on some stages so I need to follow up my potential clients and I use tickletrain.com for this and of course google apps.
