Google recently announced that the deadline is April 29 2015 to have your site in full mobile device visibility standards or that the update shortly there after will impact your rankings. I would hope by now you're all fully web 4.0 complaint and your site looks awesome on mobile, if not find a developer fast!

I'm glad that results will be guaranteed to look better on mobile devices, but google is not saying enough about it so I'm trying to get the word out and help a lot of people.

Or just google your domain name and if you see the word's 'mobile friendly' in the snippet you are good to go.

However, just because G gives you the thumbs up doesn't mean the UX is good.

Mobile-friendly and mobile-optimised are two completely different things. I've seen adwords conversion rates of over 50% (click to lead) with a well-optimised mobile version.

We've seen massively good conversion rates on mobile devices - when you can cut some of the content and make it purely conversion driven I suppose thats what you should expect.

A lot of sites I'm monitoring which aren't really smashing the mobile usability have seen -10s in SERPs
