We ceased trading in March 2024. Our final accounts/tax returns have been submitted by our accountants. We are not insolvent (which is why I'm posting in this forum).
Our accountants have submitted an application for voluntary strike off, which after first gazette has been suspended. We emailed "enquiries" at Companies house asking who had objected and why. Their response was that HMRC had objected but they could not tell us which HMRC service had objected nor the reason. Subsequent access by ourselves and our accountants to our HMRC Business account shows we have no outstanding liabilities for VAT, Corporation tax, PAYE and no messages regarding an objection.. All this has been communicated to "enquiries" at Companies House.
A bit of an impasse
It's not as if HMRC have an obvious central point for such queries - or at least I can't find one.
Help please - has anyone out there been along a simialr path and can advise me what to do next.
Thanks in advance.
