Anyone?

Hello everyone,

Recently i have been trying to think of new business ideas, and gaps in the market, or even a niche market, but everything i've thought of has already been made. So, i was just wondering, does anyone in Essex have any work that they want me to do? I'm happy to do anything really. I do have experience in business, and i'm still studying it. I'm a 17 year old who has a passion, and will leave college to work full time if needed.

Just wondered, is there anything i can do for anyone? Any online jobs are good too :) I just can't really seem to develop a product that would be successful, i'm not really one of the most creative people on the planet, but i do have a passion for business :p

Thanks,

Tom.

Washing cars, windows, animals. Dog walking, house cleaning, garden work, home help, leafleting, newspaper delivery....

Loads of things you can do. Just need to get off bum and do it.

Thanks everyone, is it best to post flyers round my area to gain publicity?

I would suggest you concentrate on your college and wait until you turn 18 and be legal to work. After all studies are the most important if you want to aim high in your life

I could work now if i want to. To be honest, i want to be able to earn a bit on the side, i have a job currently but it doesn't give me enough money to last through the week, as i have a car too :/

Flyers for what?

What are you planning to do this Friday? Are you meeting with your mates or are you knocking on doors promoting your car washing business or offering to do the washing up or weed the garden?

If you want to run a business then you need to get out there and find something to do. When I was 17 I was working in a shop, doing the gardens of a couple of old ladies and walking the next door neighbour's dog. Didn't have much of a social life but was getting my foot in the business door.

Do you really need a car? Could you get to college on a bike, if so sell the car and save the money.

Flyers promoting my service, so that people know about me? Planning to do this Friday? Hopefully be doing something which will contribute to my business. Actually, i do have experience in landscaping as i work for a garden centre, so i know the basics of that. My strengths are also computer repair, i've taught myself a lot of things in that sector too. Yes, i have a range of strengths :p Did you just knock on people's doors to inform you of the service that you were offering? I have too much of a social life at the moment, i don't have the work/play balance and i want to change that :)

So stop the social right now. Get off the x-box and facebook and start looking for opportunities.

Still don't know what your flyers are for. What services are you offering?

dont do leafleting, dog walking or any other manual labor believe me it is not good pay
Might not be good pay but it is a lead in to better things. It really narks me when people refuse or reject low paying work just because they feel it is beneath or they deserve more.

What you should do is like a lot of new people here on UKBF. Post to the forums asking members to give you the most successful money making business ideas and you will get a whole list of them which will save you having to study / research / use your initiative / be creative / be innovative, because in reality UKBF is of course somewhere you can just dip into, not contribute to, and leave with a successful money making idea, as we are all sat here all day waiting to give that advice and info out for free.

Well then you have decided on that, but do you need a car right now? I mean it's consuming your budget and you want to start a business. I suggest you cut down your expenses and adapt yourself to save your earnings rather than spending on luxuries. When your business becomes stable you can own not just one but all the cars you wanted.

Agree with that, this is what is wrong with the country at the moment, to many lazy bone idle people not prepared to work!

It is refreshing to see a young person with passion and ambition.. Keep it up and I hope it goes well, what ever you decide to do! :)
