Anyone used currencies4you website?

Has anyone used them to send business payments abroad? I got a cold call from them, sounded pretty credible and professional over the phone.

The very fact they cold called you suggested it's not a rosy as they make out.

Making overseas payments is easy and cheap. I use PayPal and WU. Never had any problems.

Yeah be very careful. There are some great options out there without having to take the risk.

How does one send business to business payments via PayPal? Is it cost effective?

I just set up a business account and make payments as normal.

You do need to define the currencies but that only takes a few clicks.

I use TransferWise, they offer some of the best rates I have seen. currencies4you don't have live rates on their website so you can't compare...

I use PayPal

PayPal is very expensive compared to TransferWise. I just checked to send 1000 Euros would cost £940.60 via PayPal compared to £879.26 with TransferWise...

Payoneer is quite good too, its around the same as transferwise. You could also look at Skrill, however Ive seen mixed opinions about them.

Seem like the forex companies are the cheapest. I have recently just used Currency UK. Excellent personalised service.

It really depends on
1) how much you want to pay
2) what kind of protection you need
3) what type of transfers suppliers accept

Paypal is free for making payments but it might be that your supplier does not accept it.
Wire transfer is around 20-40 quid and will do the job as well.

Not when they include currency conversions. The charges might not be obvious, even slightly hidden, but they charge a lot. If you read the rest of the thread you will see the post where I compare how much PayPal costs compared to Transferwise.
