Anyone got an invoice template?

Hi all

Anyone have an online tool that will build an invoice that is valid for UK accounting purposes? (Requirements here, as I understand things.)

I have a running problem of tiny suppliers sending invalid invoices - no address, T/A name but no real name, no date of supply, etc. Sending them back for correction, sometimes more than once, is a pita.

I want to send them a fool-proof form or similar to fill in, which will generate a PDF for them to send back to me.

Do you mean for a valid VAT invoice?

No, doesn't need to be a valid VAT invoice. I've not yet met a problem with a VAT-registered supplier.

These are tiny little sole traders mostly, or small charities.

I built a Wordpress plugin a while back that did similar. You filled in a form pressed a button and the pdf got send as an email attachment.

Wouldn’t be too difficult for it to pre-fill the vendors details so all they need to do is add the service supplied and total.

You need to think this through from the supplier's point of view. They will not want to have one format for you and another for other customers.
