I think most modern phones are water resistant are they not?
Plus how many people stand outside in the rain and make a phone call. Surely most people will wait until they are somewhere more 'comfortable' to make a call
A mate of mine spent loads on a sim free JCB phone. He's a builder. At last new years eve party he decided to throw it in the ice bucket with all the beers.... never worked again

No they arent. It says in the book keep them away from water. I got some on my phone the other week. A bottle of water leaked onto the phone into my bag and it never dried out. Water gets into the battery and just generally into the whole phone!
I think there are some waterproof phones out there but they are very dear so there you go! Come up with a cheap waterproof phone and dont forget me when the millions come rolling in!
Amen to this, I decided to give my phone a wash in the bath (checking emails in the bath... now that's dedication ;-) ) and it's well and truly broken.
Fortunately I have a spare so I'm using that for now, but it was a good phone so I'm pretty annoyed (at myself!).
As an alternative there are many cheap waterproof covers out there for about £5 which allow you to still make calls and receive texts etc. Might be a short term solution for when your mobiles in your bag, or if your WeAreRedBalloon sitting in the bath
A year or two ago I fell into a pond whilst on my phone. It was quite murky water and took about 2 mins to find it. But to my surprise my friend was still on the other end of the line. Got lucky. It was a sony Erriccson
