Amazon suspended before Prime Day?

I saw this report from CNBC about Amazon sellers suspended just before Prime Day, many of them badly hurt because they invested all they had hoping to cash in this week. I wanted to know if anyone here had the same issue.

I would also add that this happens just before the Christmas holidays. Based on my experience, I do not believe that most of the suspensions are directed by Amazon but rather a few bad staff members. Their "possible fake merchandise" statement is just famous. No proof or even ask for proof to show them that sellers are honest. The same people have organized team selling on Amazon dropshipping from eBay and selling with no punishment of any kind. Just to make their one cent profit. Mostly Asia and South Asia sellers with accounts created in the USA, to look American. I had a few encounters with them offering services to do this kind of trick, many of them can be found on Craigslist and Fiverr. I do hope everyone is having good sales and that they report this kind of activity when they see it.

Peter Kearns, a former Amazon Marketplace leader, spent four years at the company and now helps sellers from the outside. Kearns said that most sellers who get suspended aren't paying close enough attention to what's happening with their business, and with all the nuances and changes at Amazon.
That's probably why they got banned. They didn't take care of the small details and it's caught them out.

Mine got banned by a amazon bot a couple of years back, never got to speak to an actual person about it, just had my email declined by their bot.

Then they didn't let me have my stock back for 9 months and continued charging me storage fees lol.

I got suspended once for selling illegal drugs. Along with a few dozen other sellers selling the same illegal drugs.
Strangely amazon carried on selling these drugs.

Sorted out in a few days after proving the problem was in their understanding. In Britain its not illegal and people here are too polite to snort it.

What exactly is wrong? The company tends to suspend immediately with certain problems and sounds like that couple had that happen 4 months ago. Blocking them from prime day? They are blocked from selling!
Multiple complaints of inauthentic items and at least one could not be sold online by them. Is this the kind of seller amazon want? Perhaps not.

Is not about ONE couple getting suspended, it is about thousands of small, honest sellers being used and suspended with no reason. I have many businesses, I know what I'm talking about Mate. One of my Amazon seller accounts with more than 15,000 positive feedbacks was suspended because some agent by the name Suresh A. told me that we sold one fake item, zero proof, and zero questions asking me to show that we do not sell fake items. However, I did notice many South Asia sellers listing all kinds of items with clearly fake claims of endorsements, country of manufacturing and materials. If you actually read the article, and somehow get the point of this, you will notice that it is not blocked from Prime Day, but the point of this article is to expose the circle of "Amazon Unethical Workers" who work for some specific "sellers" (very likely related) and suspend real sellers. I do believe that the UKBusinessForums was not mean to be a place to hide unfair practices or to reward scammers who hurt real business people.

These are the same kind of people who spam forums offering cheap services taking advantage of people looking for advice to start a business or keep businesses alive. I do hope that I do not hurt your feelings with my post, because advice to avoid these people and issues is just as valuable as any other advice found here.

The example used in the article was far from great regarding suspension before prime day.
Now if they had been suspended a week prior for unknown reasons then yes would have been a better example.

You were suspended because of one claim of a fake item. What action would you expect amazon to do?
What action do you think a successful buyer centric company should take to protect buyers from those who sell fakes (and yes there are sellers who do sell fakes)?

You say the article is not about blocking on prime day? So the title of the thread was in no way linked to the article? Do you have a better article about prime day?

If you think that some amazon staff are abusing their position you have informed amazon of the fact? Or keep quiet about it?

No, not hurting my feelings. Those who prey on others (rather than seek to help) I'd join you in advising people to avoid them.
There are some who do seek to help and charge for their services. Nothing against those.
Many are on the forums daily helping others or spreading their knowledge on many business and consumer matters.
