Hi.

I hope someone can offer advice.

I ordered 10,000 small empty bottles from a bottle supplier and had them shipped via land freight. I was told that this would take around 25 - (max 35) days from dispatch under the trade terms (alibaba trade assurance)

The order was dispatched on 11-11-2021 so we will shortly be approaching 60 days.

I have ran out of my own stock of bottles so I have had to stop my new business venture, or buy the bottle stocks already in the UK whilst awaiting these other bottles (which would be 3 x the price and not be too feasible in terms of profitability on resale)

Since 5-12-2020 the 18 packages have shown as awaiting clearing in duisburg, Germany. The seller is simply saying its because of covid.

Feel free to check the tracking on info below.

Thank you.

Unfortunately you will see a few threads on this topic there are massive hold ups my son has clients who have been waiting for months to get stock from far east. A lot of ships can not unload in UK and being diverted to other other ports around Europe and this was all before we had Brexit

As far as 'where do you stand', it's basically that you need to wait for them to turn up or find some alternatives, there's no magic solution or pot of money that's going to help.
Be aware that if you order them again soon, the shipping will be WAY more expensive. prices have really gone up on freight from the far east to UK

Nothing you can do to speed stuff up.

60 days is pretty quick, some stuff I am aware of is running 4 months late. Not 4 months for delivery, 4 months after that.
Covid, Christmas, Brexit - you planned for all that when ordering? Sellers may not be as aware of local problems as us locals.

I can only agree with the above. Everything is unbelievably slow at the moment. I waited almost 3 months for a package to be cleared to leave Australia, and I waited 2 months for a package from UK to Asia. Things are not working as they used to at the moment for a number of reasons.
