Air Freight - cheapest?

Friends, I would like to import some goods from a company in Taiwan. However, the cost of the air freight they quote seems excessive. Is there any such thing as a price comparison site for air freight between countries? Or can anyone recommend a way to obtain an online quote. I have the dimensions and weight. The cheapest I have found is TransGlobExp at £6.26/Kg which is even more expensive. Help!

Don't think that Taiwan counts as China though, but they might still be worth asking.

Have you tried TNT, Fed Ex, UPS?

Recently needed to send two pallets to the US, and Fed Ex were cheapest.

Taiwan is the rebel province of China.

Unfortunately, the day Taiwan declares itself OUT of China, it will see a rain of nuclear missiles, and an invasion (probably described as a "security operation").

Not suggesting I am in favour of that, but certainly the UK and most of the world do not regard it as quite a separate county.

Direct flights between China and the Taiwan province have commenced. Maybe that is the start of a good news story.
