AI Agents

    Hey everyone

I just wanted to get a bit of insight to see how many of you have started to look into AI Agents to take on aspects of your business processes?

I first started looking into this last year as a new avenue for the business. But also to take over some of the processes that I just hated doing.

So first Agent that I have built now is my Social Media Content Creation Agent. Main reason was I was spending at least a day a week crafting content, scheduling it all and finding images for each of the platforms that I was using.

Now having it running for the past month its been a bit of a learning experience. Image prompts can be the bane of your life and making sure things are trained to work with my messaging has evolved over time but getting better. Also means if i am out and about I can post something from my form and also schedule anything i have curated and then post daily anything new worthy in my industry and business posts about what pain points we resolve.

So far the Content Creation Agent has resulted in 100% increase in impressions on LinkedIn, That 1 day per week is no longer taken up by doing something I really dislike and while I am out networking I can instantly post something while its fresh in my mind.

Next steps are to optimise it further and make it transferable to utilise for other clients so it can be trained on their own messaging and also building out a number of other agents to further help take repetitive tasks off my plate. So lead enrichment and qualification and cold outreach agent.

Ive been quite surprised at how powerful these builds have become and even more that I can use alot of no code and open source tools to build these out. Only issue i find now is finding an API to be able to send connection requests and messages on LinkedIn as their regular API is locked down.

Ill share a bit more about the agents as I continue to develop them and what they have delivered.

And do you all have any other thoughts on specific business processes that could be taken over by AI Agents? My thought process is to take over business processes rather than taking on specific job roles to allow a businesses team focus on the important things like converting leads rather than the admin of it.

Won’t be long before everyone does the same and all these AI agents end up talking to other and we just end up with gibberish.

Will be great fun watching the whole things fall to pieces.

Indeed. What I really want AI to do is the cleaning, washing up, mow the lawn and cook my meals. I can do the emails on my own.

I’m told AI can do my coding for me. But that’s the bit I enjoy. If it could clean out the cat litter trays while I’m coding that would be great.

I've no idea what an AI agent is.

Undoubtedly there are areas where AI can step in and make things better (having dealt with BT's helpline recently, I'd suggest AI could improve their service)

Social media would definitely be a marginal area, depending on whether you are trotting out repetitive technical content or looking to create a personality.

It's a case-by-case scenario, but I'm struggling to think where it can really help my life or business

AI Agents in their current form are the combination of AI in the automation process. The next step will be for the AI part of the automation to learn but building that takes a bit more time.

So social media was the test case really just to test how to build things out. Plus the way its built i control the messaging so can make it how I want it to sound. With also the ability to learn from top performers to take techniques from their posts.

Lead Enrichment and Qualification is the next one as I want to be able to easily an efficiently get as much information about a lead as possible. Test to see if they are a good fit and identify those potential pain points early before communicating to them.

The main idea is to take away the boring repetitive stuff to focus on the things that matter. So concentrating on converting leads rather than the admin behind acquiring etc.

And for fisicx most definitely can have AI mow your lawn plenty of robo mowers out there on the market now ;) and there is definitely an automated cat litter cleaner

Automated connection requests and messages are against LinkedIn rules and will eventually get you banned.
There are plenty of solutions that Ive seen out there that do exactly that and have been working for years. Waalaxy for one

Yes, there are many services like that. They don't get banned, the users do.
not seen any bans from users of those services. Seen some people get restricted as they have been silly with volume of connection requests or messages. Its just using it in a sensible way. And LinkedIn have an API for all those actions too

@Data Swami - it’s not an AI lawn mower. It’s a lawn mower with a bit of machine learning.

AI gets added to everything when it’s mostly not.

And automated SM anything is pointless. All it does is fill up my feeds with even more junk.

The more people use these tools the less effective they will become.

Ofc it it but it does the mowing for you :)

Automated SM is again depending on what you want it for. Found it to be excellent to increase eyes on me and my content especially with it writing how I want it to and saves me time.

And how effective is in the application of it. A generic application of just letting chat gpt write something for you sure. But properly trained on how to write good copy and how to write in the voice of me or a specific business ensures its delivering the right sort of output

And yes the AI we have right now is narrow we arent anywhere near general intelligence yet or even super intelligence. But its a tool to help businesses especially SMEs to take action in the market at a rate they may not have before just like being able to take control of their data and having insights and predictive analytics will help them just as much to be able to compete with larger companies without having to over hire to attain that level of growth

The more AI is trained on output from AI the worse things will get. There's a name for it, but it escapes me at the moment.

I see Apple have had to completely pull (was originally going to be a software update) their AI summaries of news sites, due to it making s**t up.

So with ChatGPT we are at the point where its got so much data everything sounds the same that it outputs.

Which is why the models need to be trained on specific information. So for a businesses perspective a very details look into how the business writes copy and how their messaging sounds is one element of the RAG. But then there are other elements that it needs to be trained on. So learning from its past posts not just on whether they are working well but if they sound like you want them so that feedback loop.

For generic things like that Apple one its the big thing where it hallucinates things. But on a micro level for a business that can be worked out with areas where human intervention can see whether they like the output etc

And I think the word you were looking for was confirmation bias if the AI is checking its own homework

When it comes to social media, for me it's clear - any hint of AI and I'll disconnect (that will probably exclude some dull people who just regurgitate information without personality)

For my business, I'll proudly be the counter-trend, as AI creeps in, I'll stand out as an old-fashioned real voice

Overall, AI will definitely grow and grow, sometimes for the better and sometimes unadvisedly. As a dispassionate outside I'll watch the waves, including numerous inevitable false starts, blind alleys and fools gold.

Definitely for Social Media its a preference thing and I've done it as a test but also to take an extra expense off my hands.

Voice wise I have alot setup and future development to make sure it gets as close to my own voice as possible. Im not going to let it just spew out ChatGPT generic stuff i need it tailored to me and at present its proving to enhance my interactions across platforms. (Just need to clone my voice next to help with any adhoc creation of audio) It was also a really good starting point to highlight some of the parts that need improvement and gives a bit of social proof to its progression.

Social Media was the easiest to start the test for and ill be building out a few others to help with regular operations. One key one to keep me on track with managing my emails far too often due to volume i miss the key ones so will build out a tool to help manage that and recommend responses to various types of emails.

And then gathering more information on leads is time consuming too so 90% done with that to gather information about them from various sources to get a better understanding if they are open to what we deliver and try and identify what their pain points currently might be.

Main thing for me is to find others who have different pain points or time sinks in their business that they would like to get rid of even with automating cross communication of systems and categorising things the possibilities only really come out when we understand the pain points.
