I used to work for a company called Argonaut Logistics based in the UK. But they do have an office in China. Google Argonaut Logistics and all the emails should be on the site. If not PM me and I'll give them to you as I can't post it in here. If you prefer to talk to someone in the UK first just email there general email.

Another firm you could have a look at would be Vanguard Logistics. I think they have an office in the UK and in China too. I would post a link but it wont let me but just google them. Their website is a little rubbish but I guess they'll be able to help you.

I am currently based here in China and have experience of sourcing and shipping to the UK. Although not a huge international company the service I offer is pretty much bespoke as the interaction is pretty much 1 and 1 and straight forward. yes, you are right, it is smart to use anyone help you in china. This can avoid once anything happened, but you need to find a skillful agent who can do a good job, such like negotiate with suppliers, shipping consolidation, etc.
