Hi Im new to this and would like to ask if the whole process of importing is as complex as it looks on the HMRC website. I'm looking to import Spa and body care products from Thailand to the UK. I realise I need obtain an EORI number and that I will have to fill in a single admin document c88 but is there much more to it? I have obtained the commodity code and the exporter will deal with paperwork and shipping.

If anyone can give me a few pointers it would be appreciated :|

The C88 would be taken care of by the clearing agent handling, the EORI form is simple enough and takes just a couple of days to get the number issued.

In regards to the shipping it's probably best not to let your supplier organise this for you as you will get hit with some big import fees once the cargo arrives. If you like I can help you with costs for importing these from Thailand to your door - please email me on [email protected].

Not complicated at all

Your shipper should handle all the documents in Thailand.

Your forwarder here should advise and help you with clearing customs this end.

What items are hot that cannot be imported fro China !

If you are in business, and you are not buying from China, you are missing out.

That applies to about 95% of the worlds products
